OneUp gets DOWN!

I'm just going to preface this by saying if you are a skateboarder of legal drinking age or just someone who can pass as such, you fucked up if you weren't at the skate crawl on Saturday night. Fucked. Up.

Yes, this past Saturday marked the inaugural Halloween Skate Crawl aimed at bringing costumed skateboarders together, putting them on their boards and sending them into the night to battle sobriety and the ever present enemy that is gravity. The night began at One Up where Daggers were pre-gaming with Iron City and skate vids. Once John Rambo and some H.B.S. Daggers arrived we headed for the bars and didn't look back. Around a dozen of us barged East Lib, Shadyside, and Bloomfield on our boards despite the rain. Aside from one mouthy front bumper, whom Dagger Porterfield handled abruptly by heaving himself into it, the only physical damages done were minor scrapes from the perilous push from bar to bar (it was the rain, not the beer, I assure you). The night came to an end at a most epic Halloween party complete with a roller coaster, a tilted room and perhaps most importantly, an open bar. Daggers held it down all night long, only pausing their Hellraising to pay respects to fallen friends, unable to make the Crawl due to physical impairment.

I filmed a little of the night's events and made a rough edit. Check it out.

In all seriousness though, I'll post some footage as soon as possible.

Big thanks to Greg and JG for getting this together, Hickey for spreading the word, and David Winters for blessing us with his mangnum opus, Thrashin.
