some ground rules

maybe it's just the amount of 'homey cam' videos i've been parusing in my down time, but I've noticed some patterns developing that we need to stomp out.

a) if your pants are flared, we aren't scared
this is something I've seen off and on for years now. With the introduction of man approved stretch pants a la krew, ambiguous, etc the presence of pant flare has decreased steadily, but it has still been known to show up on occasion. Many of these occasions happen to be caught on film when said flarer stomps a board or is generally overcompensating a 'manly' attitude and demeanor because of his emasculated appearance. relax man, you're in girl pants, get in touch with what's really making you mad, because chances are, it's not your board.

b) no skateboarding signs

yes they are a method to show how rebellious 'yinz' are by ignoring said signs and continuing snakebirding, but there is really no need for shots of more than one or two no skateboarding signs. you get over two and it starts to look like you filmed them not while skateboarding, but on a mission to film no skateboarding signs. how about you film your buddy taking that sign down instead? or defacing it to say homo skateboarding or something. be creative this is skateboarding

c) little kids

now in the age of 12 year olds on 20 stairs, we've all grown accustomed to the prepubescent kid who can kickflip into grinds that you can't ollie into yet, but fear not because as youtube has shown, there still exists the mass of little kids still fiming their ollies down 4 stairs, and i for one am pleased. my recommendation is more of these and less of the ryan sheckler video parts. oh wait, he can drive now right? don't care

d) loading docks that don't look like loading docks

maybe I'm just harboring resentment for people who don't feel creaks in their knees yet, but loading docks are generally a no-no, so doing legit shit down something that looks like a loading dock, is just simple buffoonery. There are exceptions (loading dock into a bank, onto a rail, whatever), but overall when I see something done down a loading dockish concoction, i generally give it the thumbs down. and my opinion counts god damn it.
