iPath Promo

This has nothing to do with Pittsburgh, but I was just thinking of back before iPath sold itself off a few times and completely torched the bridge to what they used to be and coincidentally someone on Slap posted their 2005 video by Dan Wolfe. If you haven't seen it, check it out. If you have, then you're probably already watching it.

Out of the Bag

Well this is about 5 years old now, and a lot of the footage might be 5 or more years older than that, so it's a mish mash of high school and college-aged footages including some of the–and I know this is corny as fuck–best times of my life. I got a shitload of ollies and tailslides, Bill has his rough draft to his Yunker part according to E, you can tell how old Rob's footage by the tautness of his "drawls.",Cody has 1.5 parts split with Noah who grows hops to make beer on a farm now and Bobby who is one of my only friends who actually, officially quit skateboarding. There's an intro and an outro that I'll get around to uploading, but here's the parts as they are: shitty filming, shitty editing, white unbalanced, out of focus, young, dumb and a lot of fun... There's a grip of leftover footage from Jerm, Nick, Austin, J Funk and a few others that I think I had saved thinking One Up might use it for a video or promo, but I thought I'd lost it all when my computer shit the sheets, so perhaps I'll do a little remix and throw that on the YouTubes as well. I also got some point and shoot stuff of Nick, Drew, Jerm, and whoever else has made his way out to visit in the last five or so years so I can hopefully make something with that in the next month or so since one of the main perks of unemployment is free time on my hands. Anyway, like I said, hope you enjoy.

Today is Tuesday. The sun is out and you should be skating.

Pixburgh Video Magazine got a little face lift and Mr. Morgan seems like he'll be adding some new summery videos up fairly soon.

This is a fairly comprehensive list of deck manufacturers and where they are made. If you are curious about the China-wood vs. American-made debate, the list is a good way to know where your boards are made.

Some benevolent youngsters (and supposedly some hippie that doesn't even skate anymore) have been improving spots in the strip as of late by building ledges, filling cracks, etc. Feel free to follow their lead and get your bondo on.

I've got a few things in the works for this page, so check back and I'll have a new interview or two up that might just make you chuckle.

suck it or not

well, we can keep whining about winter, but it's only been here since january so i guess it's really not all that terrible, but watching skate videos makes it pretty painful to know you can't push down the street without immediate bearing freeze and board sog.

the one up blog has a link to the ark united promo, which has some clips of some of the OneUp guys in it. That Jerms fella is somethin smooth, plus ruben's got a nice little flicker in thur.

i don't know what all else is going on. the infamous marcus who does see visual has landed in the burgh and will most likely be lurking with jerry for a few days before they go somewhere warm.
